Random, Unanswerable Question #3

If a song is deemed "Classic Rock" because of when it was originally written and performed--say "Hotel California" by the Eagles--is it still technically classic rock if the Eagles perform it at their 2003 farewell tour?

Yes, unless they play some re-mixed, jazz-funk fusion, trip-hip-hop inspired, dance version, at that point it has the label known as "Shit".

I don't accept your premise that something is classic because of a time-frame. A classic anything represents the epitome of what that thing should be. There are plenty of movies from the 30s and 40s that stink. Those are not classic movies. But I would call a movie like Pulp Fiction a classic, because it does well just about everything a movie should do. Same thing with music.
