The Secret of Life

"Studies have shown that your average american spends forty minutes a day thinking about cookies."--David Letterman

I have discovered the secret of life. But I'm not telling anyone what it is--it doesn't have...very much to do with cookies. I am living proof that to know it is to be insane.

So try and figure it out, but do so at your own risk.

Don't come crying to me later on, when you have figured it out, either. I warned you. Don't say I didn't.

Nay--much happier to simply mozy along in a happy-go-lucky sort of way. Lackadaisical. Devil may care.

We're not going to be under-valuing cookies here, are we? Because cookies are important, and farm cookies are the best kind of them all.

I knew there was a reason I bought coconut last week. I think I may have to do some baking...

No, of course were are not undervaluing cookies. We are giving cookies their due, and we are making sure to keep in mind that, while they have their place in happiness, cookies are not the entire secret of life.

If you tell it, it will no longer be a secret and thus will stop being the secret of life. Another secret will rise to take it's place, and we'll all be right back where we started from.

Actually, the fact that you think you know the secret of life may have already negated it.

So thanks a lot, Whit, for messing up the secret of life. Because it would have been cool if it did involve cookies, but now it doesn't. Because of you.

Great, now the 'secret of Life' is the 'secret of Whit'...

I'm gonna go have a cookie.
