"As long as the Colosseum stands, Rome will stand; When the Colosseum falls, Rome will fall. And when Rome falls, then falls the world."--Famous (apparently) old saying.
Um, that's not right translation of the original Latin. It actually goes, "As long as Rome stays within the shadow of the Colosseum, it will never fall."
