I'm doing NaNo WriMo this year. I'm cheating a little because I'm writing the next draft of my novel rather than something completely fresh. I am writing it completely blind, though. I'm making no reference back to previous drafts. Just letting it all flow along. I'm behind schedule by three thousand words. But I'm okay with that because the words I've written so far please me.
Obsrevations about NaNo this year so far:
Because I'm not trying to get to the end, I'm just trying to write a lot of words, I'm giving my settings and scenes way more descriptive detail than I usually do.
People are more willing to read my "dailies" than I would have expected. I figured I'd get more, "What, junk you wrote today? No thanks."
I like having a mission.

That's all for now.

I think it's a good thing, the fluff.
