I agree with the mentore, but it makes me wonder at the evolution of linguistics.

Oh, yeah, almost forgot.

Refresh,
Refresh,
RefreshThe One and Only Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05389030276109468709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30069554.post-67049322489882853062008-03-12T23:57:00.000-07:002008-03-12T23:57:00.000-07:00Don't get me started on adapting books for film! ...Don't get me started on adapting books for film! So very few of the are truly good, rather than just okay. Most of the time I just say, "If you take the movie as a separate entity, it's a good movie." Which means--the movie was good, but really not like the book at all. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy seeing books turned into films. I just wish more of them were done better. (Like most of the Harry Potter movies, for example. Man I hate those things!)Mishellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05392884936574639026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30069554.post-63667586633245595782008-03-07T17:41:00.000-08:002008-03-07T17:41:00.000-08:00"...judging the sentences, seeing if I have a prob..."...judging the sentences, seeing if I have a problem with them, and if so how to fix them."

Man, I'd never have that much patience.... Well, maybe if I'd already read the book at least as many times as Lord of the Rings.

I should go dig up some Hornblower. You make me want to read it.
